Meet:
Miss Daria Willow
6 pounds, 9 oz. and 18 inches long
Born Tuesday, 6-19-2012 at 11:13 am
Thankfully in the hospital, and not on the 509. Or on Martin Luther King Jr. Way in front of the hospital. And that is all I'm going to say about that until I get her birth story written.
I had Brianna's story almost done, and was planning on publishing it in a suitable increment after Keira's birth story. Then I got sick. AGAIN!!! Then I had to clean my house and finish up a few projects. Thank goodness I did all that. Then I gave birth. Apparently I cannot carry a child full term. Very annoying. So, my point with all that being that Brie's story is going to be published first, in the next few days, diapers and showers and laundry permitting, and meanwhile I'll start putting Daria's together. Then we'll get back to blogging as usual. :-)
But, despite a few hiccups along the way that landed her in the NICU for a few nights and in a regular hospital room a few nights more, all-in-all she is healthy, thank the Lord, and we are currently enjoying her very much and looking forward to when we're not desperately shoving food in her mouth in attempts to get her to gain weight, and when she's sleeping slightly less than 23 1/2 hours a day.
Her eyes are blue. I don't know if they'll stay this way, but it's fun to have a blue-eyed baby. Our other two came out with brown eyes, like their momma.
She is our only child that is not born on a Sunday. Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers, comments and love through all this. And, especially thanks to my Instagram followers, who got blasted with approximately 90 million photos the last several days. I love that app. Most of my photos are from my phone, which I'm not hugely thrilled about, but carrying the camera around was one thing too much for my stressed out self there for a couple days. But, I'm thoroughly addicted to my phone, so that was doable.
So, we'll be back soon! Thankful for all our friends and family... and the prayers that went up for us through this time.

So thankful she is healthy and that the complications were minor. Can't wait to meet her in a couple weeks...maybe she'll be sleeping a bit less then=) Love you all. Auntie G
ReplyDeleteAww, she is so precious. Congratulations again Naomi.
ReplyDeleteWe've been following your facebook pics and are so happy for you all! It looks like the whole family is thrilled with little Daria. We can't wait to see her and her big sisters with her. They all of a sudden look so grown up. Best Wishes to you all !! The fun begins again! Love, from Uncle Dan and Aunt Gwen and of course the 3 cousins. :)
ReplyDeleteIt has been fun to follow the pictures on FB. Thankful things are going relatively well. I get updates from Grandma. You are so blessed to have your little helpers. Praying the Lord will give you the strength for each step. Lots of love to each of you, Lisette
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little Miss! So glad she's here safe and you are all doing okay. And I would have pronounced her name the way it's meant to be. ;) And the big sisters look like they are quite pleased to have another little on in the family. ♥
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You have a beautiful family of sweet little girls. How blessed you are!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your sweet little bundle!! Looks like you have two very happy helpers for this baby :)! How fun!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!!!! I LOVE her name!
ReplyDeleteAbsotively posilutely LOVE THIS. And her name is precious. I lady in our co-op has a Daria, and I think it's just so feminine! Even more-so with Willow involved. I also have a friend with a Keira, but it's spelled Ciara or something Irish, so thank you for not doing THAT to your child. ;) As for Brie, well, I have to admit, I pronounce it wrong. But, I've had my name called Leanne my whole life so I feel her pain. :P
ReplyDeleteSo glad you blast us with pics on IG. I love it, AND it gives me awful baby fever. Which isn't entirely bad, you know...
Grow, Miss Daria, grow!
Congratulations! She is very cute
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Babies are such a sign of hope & goodness.
