2/3rds of a triathlon

Ok, so maybe it's more like 1/3rd, as Kiki and Debris are a lot farther away from participating in a Triathlon than C is!! But hey, it's 2/3rds of triathlon activity, so we'll count it. This here's a swimmin' and bikin' post.

This past weekend we had K, C, and A visit us from Walla Walla, so C could take part in a bicycle race event here in Wenatchee... these pics are from the Saturday evening event, we went and cheered her on...

And Debris met a dog... It was love at first lick. A few pics from the race itself...
The closed a few of the downtown streets to do this race, what fun!

Debris and the dog were pretty much inseparable.
Kiki has entered a phase where she will not smile for the camera. Drives me bananas.
Debris, C and Kiki... the girls had a blast yelling and cheering her on...
And, now we enter the swimming portion of the post... The girls are in their last week of swimming lessons for the spring session. These pics are for you Papa&Grammy, Auntie Ten and Auntie Caca! Thank you for the lessons, Papa&Grammy!

Having lunch and a visit, under water, I was told...
Debris being a crocodile, Kiki being a shark.
Playing water polo... these two were a team...
As always, Kiki is underwater... Debris is swimming along behind her.
Debris is a social swimmer. Oddly enough, she swims great in the deep end, but the shallow end is not for swimming. It's for playing.
Kiki, coming up from underwater...
Kiki, under water. Anyone sensing a theme here? That girl loves to be underwater. She always has...
The silly swim...
Debris... she was the youngest in this class, but she did very well, all in all. She especially did well on days the other children did not do well. Just to show 'em up. She's an obstinate little creature, ya gotta love it.
Debris being a torpedo, Kiki--yep, underwater.
Did I do good mom? I'm so cold!!!! Can I have a shower?
Can't I go underwater!?!? I don't want to get out! No, I won't smile!!!
BTW... how do you remove fake tattoos??!!! I'm beginning to think these are real!!!!!

  1. Great pictures! What good little swimmers!

Try soaking the temp tattoo in baby oil, rubbing alchohol or fingernail polish removal, then rub off. We have had some too that seem to last forever.

  3. Scratch them with your fingernails until the tatoo-wearer is howling in misery. Oh wait, I've tried that method and it didn't work. Now I try the "hmmm...this temporary tatoo is broken, I guess we can't use it" tactic : )
Great swimming lessons pictures. I'm hoping to get Ezra into some this summer.
Nice racing C--but who are K and A?

  4. Amy--thanks, the nail polish remover did the trick.

Auntie G, every day we are counting down how long until you get here. I should have waited a while longer to tell them you're coming, I'm losing my mind with the hourly questions of when you're coming!!!

Brooke--haha about the scratching! K is C's sister, and A is a friend from school (I think?!) :-)

  5. It's funny....I was just thinkin' about these fun swimming days when my kids were little. They were little fish, too. The girls look like they're having a ball!!

GO GIRLS!! Oh, and the bikes turning the corner was a great pic with the mountains in the background! M-M-M.
