This weekend we have had visitors, and also it is the Apple Blossom Festival in Wenatchee. As anyone in their right mind escapes the madness that is the Apple Blossom Festival, we headed up to Icicle Creek and Lake Wenatchee. Since the kids were distracted with chasing around their grandparents and such, I was able to play with the camera a little more than usual. Here are the snapshots of the day...
Icicle Creek. Just gorgeous.

A tree shaped like a giraffe, according to Kiki.
Looks like a very fun place to head back to in the summer! That beach and water looks very inviting. Wonder what the temp is in August? Isn't Icicle Creek the creek that runs by Leavenworth? Road trips are such fun!
ReplyDeleteBTW, here is another project that looks easy and fun:

Since you are sewing some summer clothes for your kids, you may like this idea.
Is it me or does that water look cold!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The photo with the rocks and the pointed end of the driftwood is my favorite. The rocks are so colorful there and it looks like there is a lot of quartz, granite and agate. Our stones here at the bay are mostly washed round from the water and a lot darker in color overall.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh!!! It looks to good to be true...cant wait to be there! Auntie G
ReplyDeletep.s. tell the girls i'll come as long as there are NO wet willies
That was so much fun exploring new and beautiful areas that surround you! We miss you all already!
ReplyDeleteKiki and Debris, I am taking the tape recorder to Gamma Gamma soon and letting her enjoy the stories you told to me. I'll bring it next time and you can add even more stories and funny noises. XO
What a lot of yard work you had done in that last post. And what a darling western playhouse. I'm glad you took a break to do some exploring. BTW, I thought the rock urchin picture of you was super cute : ) And Bev, I like your hair in the picture of you and the girls, is it a little longer than it used to be?
ReplyDeleteHi Brookie! This mess of hair is ready for the chopping block...I hope Auntie Dhasa will cut it for me later this month...she has a knack for messing with hair. By the way, we still have a pic of you, Rosie, and Auntie M on our bookcase...those were good times :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I want to go!
