Auntie Caca visits & Random oddities
Auntie Caca visited recently...just before she visited we'd had an awesome snowfall that made it fun to go sledding...

Love the dog running next to the sled here. She was so puzzled as to why anyone would want to ride that annoying purple thing she hates...
Right before I took these pictures I got a snowball thrown at me... I was so upset! They would have been great if I didn't have a snowflake in the middle of them!

Daddy got the girls headlamps in preparation for camping this coming summer... which they cannot wait for, and think we should just go snow camping now. I'm hearing about it every day, several times a day, and I'm actually thinking we should, just so we can find out whether they actually end up loving it, or just to make them shut up about it. :-) As a side note, I'll admit to snickering at Frank when he got his headlamp, and now I want one too... they are SO HANDY! Not just for camping, but for everything! Putting stuff in the attic and finding my key that flew out of my hand and under the car are just a few things I've used it for in the past week!!
And, every time I open a can of pineapple the girls consider it cocktail hour... out come the shot glasses, and they start pouring the juice. Pineapple juice will never go to waste in this household!
And, Debris, talking on the phone to Daddy when he was on a business trip last week. Boy those white walls make me crazy. I'm narrowing down my color choices though, now if I could only add a few hours to each day.
Kiki, being an otter.
After the girls crashed through the ice into a deep puddle in our backyard, they decided to get the sled, and make it be a boat.
Debris skirt got wet...
And, Debris asked me to make one of their favorite meals a few days ago... I let them drink pink lemonade in my crystal as well, and we worked on ladylike table manners. HA! Here is a picture of momentary diversion from good manners, as Kiki is yelling "A La Cuisine!" and shoveling food into her mouth at the same time, and Debris was yelling into her cell phone to her imaginary friend. I'm sure other families have very weird dinner time occurrences too, right?! Right?!

Oh no. Our children sit at the table and say "please pass the..." and "thank you" and "this food is so delicious, you must have slaved for hours, Mother Dearest, perhaps you would like to sit with your feet up whilst we do the dishes?" Hehe. Nice headlamps : )
ReplyDelete(Yes, I'm a bit delirious. Blame the Baby).
Aw, fun pics! We have odd dinner time conversations and there are no talking aged children involved! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSledding, the real deal, in snow ! How fun. I saw some kids sledding down our sand berm at the beach the other day. A little bit slow going and grainy, but I guess what else are they going to do? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks fun! I love sledding!
ReplyDeleteThose everyday pictures are great, esp the last one!
Fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like aunti Caca had just as much fun as the girls! I heard the girls were SOOOOO sad when she left for home. I love the creativity of your girls, such as the boat and sea otter. Very fun! BTW, did you make the laundry bag for your rags? Why am I asking, of course you did! Very cute!
ReplyDeletehow fun, I love that they were wearing dresses in the snow, and their dining skills! Super fun times!
