The photos for this post are random--as in, literally from just snapshots here and there I stick in a folder to be blogged, should I ever need random blogging photos.

What is your favorite movie?
K: Tintin, and Puss in Boots
B: Tintin and Signs
(Yes, we had a family movie night where the kids insisted upon a scary movie, and Signs was the best one we could think of that would be reasonably appropriate for their age. To be clear, they don't scare easily, so we weren't too worried. It ended up being really fun to watch with them--opened the door for neat conversations about movie making, directing and acting, scores and how they affect the mood of what you're watching, screenplay, etc., as well as one of the primary subject matters of the movie--whether things just happen, or are part of God's design for our lives. I wouldn't recommend it for just any kid, but it worked out really well for ours in an alternating watch the movie/pause and discuss sort of fashion. They're still completely freaked out anytime we click our mouths at them though, hahahaha!)

| A lot of reading is happening around here lately... mostly Tintin and Calvin and Hobbes. It's fun to watch them read and fall in love with the characters that we loved as kids. |
K: Camping, having the baby, Spring and Summer when we can wake up in the morning and put our bathing suits on, and wear them all day long.
B: Camping, having the baby, throwing water balloons at Keira, wearing my Keens all the time.
I will be praying that we have a summer where they can wear their bathing suits all day and not freeze. How nice for you to not have to do any laundry after the sweet new bundle is born : ) Good thing you are pregnant so that you can be so loved!

ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
I enjoy reading these every year, and yeah, that Red Robin maks a good burger!
R&J can't seem to read enough Tintin & Calvin/Hobbes... -kdk
ReplyDeleteWell Auntie Greta will be happy to see she is top on the visiting list, even if it is just to see Vinnie! Fun to see the answers to their questions. X's & O's. Grammy
ReplyDeleteYou're kids are SO HILARIOUS! I think these interviews are one of my very favoritest things on your blog. They crack me up hardcore...and I don't think there is any way they are too old for them.
ReplyDeleteI like that 'bobcats and wolverines' are a favorite...!??!?!?!:) And that 'we are the champions' is a fav song.
Your kids are awesome. You're awesome.
Love these as always! I can't wait to start doing this with Little Mr. someday.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these... every time you do one... I get the brilliant idea to copy cat you... and then my day gets busy and I forget... =) so this time I won't forget... I WONT! ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Calvin & Hobbs ...esp. under the bed!! ;) my son has a tiger... and he and Tiger were (he's starting to outgrow it...sniff, sniff, sob, SOB)... they were a LOT like Calvin and HObbs... *sigh* bittersweet!
I am so looking forward to camping and the beach and sun and wearing my bathing suit all day too ... oh... wait... I don't do that... EVER... =)
Have your kiddos been introduced to Magic Tree House books yet?? Wonderful!! ;) probably the right age for your kiddos?!! ;)
No! We don't have any Magic Tree House books yet! I will add them to the wishlist. :-) Thank you for the recommendation.
DeleteI always love it when you share these interviews! Such fun to see their perspective! We did this a bit when the kids were growing up, but I wasn't good about documenting it. The older they get, the more their personalities shine through their answers. Precious girls! I agree with the previous poster: The Magic Tree House books are such fun! Let me see if I can dig ours out. If you don't hear from me, send a rescue crew because I have lost my way in the deep dark recesses of the closet packed with boxes of books.
