It feels like I just did one of these posts. Probably because I just did.
But, that doesn't change the fact that today Garrett accepted a promotion to St. Paul, Minnesota. I'm so proud of him, and we are excited to embark on this next adventure.
This one came out of nowhere, and it fell together so seamlessly (So far, ha! I'll let you know if that keeps up, for sure!) that we've been left with a very clear sense of Who directs our paths. We are so thankful for that.
Looking forward to the fun of it all, sad to leave our family and our friends here, but we know it will be an exciting thing for our family.
Blogging may be a bit hit and miss in the next few months. A very special wedding is in the works, and then moving, and my laptop had an unfortunate meeting with a bottle of bubble soap not too long ago, so blogging on the go is not currently an option for me, sadly.
But, it will all fly by before we know it, and at some point I would assume life would get on some sort of schedule again. It usually does. :-)
Thanks to all our family and friends who've known about this as it evolved, and been praying for clear direction for us. :-)
And now I am headed of for a muchly anticipated girl's weekend. Yay!
Soo excited to welcome the Happy Sanitarium to Minnesota!!! Praying for a smooth transition. :)

ReplyDeleteWow! That all moved so quickly, I'm glad you guys had clear direction and we look forward to hearing about your new home when you have time (maybe January?). I had a feeling the MN Conner's would be excited!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteFun, another adventure! You will be missed here in the PNW, but I bet MN has all sorts of amazing places to discover with your family.
ReplyDeletePraying for a smooth transition for you all and perhaps a trip down to Vancouver before you leave :).
ReplyDeleteSt. Paul so cool!! Have you ever heard of the NPR show "A Prairie Home Companion"? It's out of St. Paul I think. Anyway, it seems like a homey sort of place. The kind of place you'd sit on a windowsill drinking a peppermint mocha, reading a book while the snow falls quietly outside. That's how I'm picturing it :) Praying for a smooth transition overflowing with blessings as you embark on this new adventure!! <3
ReplyDeleteI have people I love and hope to see in Minnesota. A nephew just started at St. Olaf's last week and a dear, DEAR blogging friend is there. Excited for your next adventure and praying for a smooth transition. GIRLS!! YOU'LL BE GETTING LOTS OF SNOW!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! St. Paul!!! What an adventure. Don't know too much about it except that it's my favorite airport :) When do you think you'll be going?
ReplyDeleteHey Keren! Garrett will be out there very soon... and the girls and I will follow. I'm hoping to be settled in by the end of October.
DeleteWOW! Hope you have a happy, safe adventure! Should be amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteWell perhaps I should pilfer the Gypsy quilt from our daughter and send it to you! LOL. Sending sweet prayers that God will continue to bless you and your darling family on your newest path of adventure! Congratulations to hubby on his promotion! Onward adventure seekers! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers. It's funny, sometimes I call my husband my high-class gypsy. :-)
DeleteOooo, how exciting! It will be fun to follow the move with you here, provided you get to blog at least some of it. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed in this area, but you are going to LOVE St. Paul! Been there a couple times; it's beautiful, & the twin cities have great old neighborhoods, restaurants, art scene. Try to hook up with Glenda; she's a super lady. -kdk
ReplyDeleteTotally thought Prairie Home Companion, too! I've heard it's really awesome up there. So excited for you brave sojourners!
ReplyDeleteWow! How exciting for you! It will be an adventure to move outside of the Northwest:)! I know you will be missed by a lot of family up there. You will have to blog about all the fun places in that part of the US!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite exciting! I'll pray that you have a pleasant and easy (is that possible?) move, and that the Lord will guide and direct you every step. That will be a change, for sure! I'm sure your parents will be sad to see you go so far away, but happy for you at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, you are in it thick lady! When I saw the title of this pop in my reader I was like, NO, it couldn't be... and then I read it and didn't comment because I had to DIGEST. So, I got my first tick in Minnesota. You should probably know that. I'm excited for you. Maybe you can just sit in the truck, on the sofa, you know for breastfeeding on that long journey! ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Yeah... I don't think they'd let me sit on the sofa in the truck, although that would be a great option. :-)
DeleteGoodness, lady! Ya'll have had quiet the eventful year!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you are so FULL, life is full, eh? Babies, weddings, moves....wowsa.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I feel like you will love Minnesota. I'm pumped for your new adventure and will be praying for you.
Hopefully the girls weekend is just what you need! :)
