Anyway, I now face a horrible posting dilemna:
Do I...
1. Post in sequential order? Meaning all the stuff we did leading up to the wedding, and then the grand finale of the wedding? I can hear those out there who want to see the wedding pics gnashing their teeth at this idea, and quite frankly, it doesn't excite me too much either, cuz I want to share them.
2. Do one giant post with all the pics, and just this once break my personal rule of no more than 15-20ish pics per post? Yeah, not liking that idea so much either.
3. Willy-nilly post wedding pics and fun week before pics as they trickle in from family and friends, etc., until I've excorcised this wedding demon thoroughly, and feel as though I've done some justice to it all?
I think I'll go with option 3. The randomness of it just works for me.
The Bride and Groom... this pic is totally cute, I had to include it...
The first time the 5 of us sibs were together in (I think!) 1 1/2 years. That's what someone said anyway. Someone who can remember to put mascara on both eyes, and also keep track of these things better than me.
Debris, with The Sheriff and Auntie G's dog, Daisy. Seriously, the sweetest dog I have ever met. I actually watched Debris do a backflip over her, and she didn't even blink. Amazing--they tortured her all week long, and she kept coming back for more. Plus, she didn't bother my allergies, AT ALL, so I might have to get us one.
And, now, for a few wedding pics... this post is rediculously kid heavy, I apologize. But hey, my blog, my kids, being especially cute!
Or was it Captain Morgan? Nobody is quite sure...
Oh, silly me. It was just Frank Castle, being a goofball. (Oh yeah, check out the gorgeous bride, by the way!)
The bride and the groom, entering the reception...
The reception... A very nice picture Auntie Ten's B took.
How many bridesmaids does it take to bustle a dress?
And, a few pics of my girls that show more detail of their dresses. Since I spent countless hours sewing them, and the crinoline-petticoat-puffy slip things underneath them, I'm getting as much mileage out of them as possible. These are the best full body pics I have of her, and of course she has to have her sash all catywompus. Go figure.
Gauntlets are cool.
And, catywompus sash. Sigh. I knew I should have tacked them. If I could have figured out how to do it so it wouldn't have been tacky, I would have. (har har!)
Ok, that's enough for one night!
WOW, gorgeous wedding! Beautiful bride, awesome colors and of course the beautiful flower girls in their adorable dress made by their incredibly handy Mother WOW! Can't wait to see the rest!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to finally see the dresses--beautiful! How fun for them to get to wear. Thanks for putting up wedding pics now and not making us wait any longer...can't wait for the rest : )
ReplyDeleteThe girls dresses you made are amazing! Too cute! And yes it is very fun to see some wedding pic.s, thank you! Like the colors she picked.
ReplyDeleteWow! Good job on the girl's dresses!! That must've been a lot of work! Becky said the wedding was very nice; can't wait to see more pics of you all "dolled up" and of your entire trip!
ReplyDeleteMandy
Looked like a beautiful wedding! LOVE the dresses-I know that must of been a lot of work. Hopefully not too much of pulling seams apart. You did a great job! So great to see the picture of all five of you together. Greta looked amazing in her wedding pics.
ReplyDeleteI agree, those dresses truly are something...great job!! You must save them, even if for sentimental value (and all that hard work), and maybe their daughters will wear them someday!
ReplyDeleteGreta looks stunning as a bride...wow! It must have been wonderful to be together as a family again. You're all kinda spreading out.
Thanks for this! I don't care what order pics arrive in, I'll make up my own story if necessary.
ReplyDeleteIn keeping with randomness, a few comments....you don't ever have to apologize for kid photos - no such thing as too many - and these are priceless! Glad you all could be together...really good photo of you 5! B should be his own wedding photographer. Good to know David can remember to put mascara on both eyes...whatta guy. ;-) Frank Castle really is the most hit man-ish looking person I know. The dresses are beyond my sewing comprehension (let alone execution), and are beautiful! I once sewed a bathrobe. The End.
Anita
OH these are SO fun! Especially now that I know so many of the "players!" Can't wait to scroll up to the next post!
ReplyDeleteHI GIRLS! You look FAB!!!
