Note the wildfire smoke...

My very own sweet darling toothless wonder... :-)

Getting really mad and yelling at the obnoxiously loud sprinkler sounding bugs--singing cicadas, perhaps?! Debris was not having it with all that racket.
Happy One Year anniversary to our Caliente'-Cal-Belle-Cali-Ababwa-RegalVelcroDogMooseBearBeast. We love you. Also, your coat is the beautifulest thing ever, and when you pass away some sad day, I shall be making a rug out of you. F to the Y to the I.
And, wheat, heading for harvest, and thankfully as of now, not yet incinerated behind my house. Such a lovely reminder of the passage of time in a wholesome and simple way.
...Furrow by furrow, and Fold by fold,
The soil is turned on the plain,
Better than silver and better than gold,
is the surface mine of the grain;
Better than cattle and better than sheep
In the fight with draught and heat;
For a streak of stubbornness, wide and deep,
Lies hid in a grain of wheat...

ReplyDeleteI've said it before, I know I'll say it again, but you live in one of the MOST beautiful places on earth. And I know you know it and appreciate it which makes it even better! LOVED the lightening - we are lightening chasers! - and great parking space where the teeth were!
ReplyDeleteHI GIRLS!!! You look DARLING in the box. Are you going to work for a magician?!
That lightening shot is amazing!!! And I literally laughed out loud at your comment about Callie's coat!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the lightening, how fun! We don't get many t-storms wandering through these parts. Love the wheat shot, reminds me of growing up near the Palouse. The girls are cute as usual! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful storm shots. We miss the wheat in Idaho. Was fun to see it again while we were back for a visit. And I'll just go ahead and say it...sitting on a rug made from my former pet would not be okay with me : )
ReplyDeleteGreat song. Our school box came today, too (smile).
ReplyDeleteOkay, I officaly need to stop reading and committing from my phone. I replied to this when you first posted. Your girls make me giggle! And the pictures you take of the places you go bring me a little peace to my day!
