Sweet dirty baby garage toes... helping Daddy work on the cars.
Warning-Mini-rant ahead: I'm always a little shocked when people say things like, "I don't want to use that gorgeous fabric just for pajama pants..." Umm, hello. Pajama Pants, or Lounge Pants are the pants I look forward to putting on at the end of a long day. They signal relaxing on the couch with any or all of the following: my favorite relaxing drink of choice for the day, a book, the people I love, our favorite shows, my favorite blanket. They mean climbing into my wonderful bed, and they are the first thing I see in the morning when I head out for my first cup of coffee (bliss). Shouldn't you use your FAVORITE fabric for pajama pants?! Ok, end rant. Thank you for listening.
We've started school, and we're having SO much fun. I think I'll write a little bit more about that in a few weeks after I've gotten into all the stuff we're using a bit more...
We've also got birthday present craft and art projects coming out our ears--that is NOT a complaint. The girls are having a blast, and it's always fun to have a new craft project for them to do.
And, we've started swimming again for the winter. Kiki is in a more advanced class this year, so the time that we are at the pool is spread out now, because their classes don't overlap. If we keep up lessons and head towards coaching and racing like Kiki wants to, I can tell this is just the beginning of A LOT more time spent at the pool. BOTH girls are doing AWESOME though, I am SO proud of them. These pics are cropped a little funny because I didn't want to put pictures of anyone I didn't know or ask permission of on my blog.
Kiki, waiting for her lesson...
While Debris swims... she's doing so well, and her teacher really "gets" her, and seems to be pushing the right buttons to get Debris to advance... thankfully!
Hi Mom! I just swam to the pipe! Are you proud of me?! (She yells this at me every time she swims to the floaty barrier thing.)
Then it's Debris turn to sit and color while Kiki swims.
This is a really really really happy girl who loves to swim more than anything else.
Her teacher is really focusing on perfecting all her strokes and kicking technique. She's doing very well!
And, landscaping... the pile of rock that seems to stay the same size, no matter how much we move. But that's ok, right?! Just means we'll be able to get it to go everywhere we need it too... hopefully. Slowly this yard is taking shape... VERY very very slowly, but we currently are going with any progress is good progress... and being thankful. :-)
This will be my only blog post for the week, as the girls and I are off tomorrow for an amazing Girl's Weekend full of Girly fun!
moving rock is SO much work! i feel your pain. hope you have a great girly weekend! i agree w/ your ranting re: pj pants. :)
ReplyDeleteNice to see what is going on in your lives, and looking forward to tiem together! I especially love seeing the girls coloring while the other one swims. Good time management!:) Grammy
ReplyDeleteOooo, LOVE those pj's! I so hope I can sew something soon! And I couldn't agree with you more on using beautiful fabric for loungey pants. Unfortunately, many days I stay in mine all day long, so comfort is a must! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd we're gearing up for all the birthdays/holidays and crafty things coming up the next few months, too. FUN! Wish we had a pool close by like that one. Looks super!
Can't wait to hear about your girl weekend! I need one of those. Oh, and major props to your hubs for being so patient w/the girls when showing them new things. Sweet guy!
I love the jammies! I need to make some of those... I wonder which pattern is best for those? Please something "Simplicity" :)haha...
ReplyDeleteThe girls look like they thoroughly enjoy those swimming lessons and those auto mechanical lessons... :)
I need to find inexpensive swim lessons around here- because when they are both in gymnastics, scouts and other stuff... it gets pricey!
Have fun on your girlie weekend!!!!
