And if the homework brings you down,
Then we'll throw it on the fire
And take the car downtown.
-David Bowie, Kooks
Last week we woke up to a GORGEOUS Friday, after what felt like DAYS, and DAYS, and DAYS of rain. And, we ditched our school and work plans for the day, and did exactly that--we headed downtown to play at one park, and then go out for coffee and pastries together, me and my girls, and then we didn't want it to end, so we went to a different park with a different view. It was a day that was good for the soul. :-)

ReplyDeleteWow you are the best kind of mom! That sounds like such fun.
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, it didn't FEEL like days and days and days of rain, it WAS! Friday and also yesterday felt like the most amazing gift. I even managed to get a sunburn yesterday--but it took a lot of trying. Glad you got out. Want to meet at Woodland Park zoo sometime soon? Ya know what--I'm just gonna shoot you an email now : )
ReplyDeleteI need a sip of that yummy looking drink!!! It's so hard to keep kids from going bonkers when it's rained for days. But I don't feel like I can say ANYTHING begrudging about rain, what with the drought and all, so we all smile and cringe on the inside, haha. But seriously, sunshine does a body so much good! Beautiful pics, friend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day out! ♥
ReplyDeleteI've been so thankful for those shots of beautiful weather - I am ready for springtime!
