Well, after a lovely weekend, NOT!, of a horrible cold not a one of us is really recovered from, here we are on Monday. I was too busy blowing my nose and staring at the ceiling this weekend to actually notice what was going on around me, and as a result I have virtually no material for my blog. And, I definitely don't have any pictures. But, I do remember something Kiki said to me Saturday afternoon.
Kiki: "Did you know mom, that if you have a hole in your tooth, it's called a 'calgary'? And, that's why you need to brush and gloss your teeth every day. Can I have some more ice cream?"
So, I got her some more ice cream, I took some more dayquil, and went back to lay on the couch. I think perhaps her personal hygeine, sunday school, and nutrition lessons are very mixed up in her head. Of course, it could just have been the Motrin she was doped up on all weekend, and the fact that all we ate all weekend was chicken nuggets, cheerios and ice cream. Usually, even when I am sick I make a huge pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. Not this time! Now, I really need to shovel/backhoe my house out. Dayquil might help me feel better, but it makes me so jittery, and unfocused. Maybe I'll just drink more coffee.
Happy Monday!
P.S.--The above pic is a Moses Lake sunrise this August. I felt the need to share something pretty, so I searched our over 10,000 pics (gasp!) for one that spoke to me. Something about joy returning in the morning. Or, in this case, the mid-morning. :-) I'm going to go do two days of dishes! Ciao!
Bummer! that cold doesn't sound fun!
ReplyDeleteJust take it easy and every thing will get better in time! :0) I sound so profound don't I. :p There's been colds going around down here too which we've managed to miss so far thankfully.
Goodness, y'all sound miserable! My poor babies and momma g! Hugs to all of you, but no kisses cause I don't wanna get sick =) Haha
ReplyDeleteHi Sjo, Glad you've missed it! Being sick when you're a mom is a whole different ball game. Ya still gotta be a mom. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sympathy Dhasa. :-) I guess we won't be sharing this lovely cold with you this time.
