Auntie Ten's Showers

Well, this past weekend the girls and I headed down to the Portland area for a couple showers for Auntie Ten... Saturday we had a garden brunch shower for her with close friends at Dad and Mom G's house. It turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. :-)

Complete with Wenatchee cherries and nectarines.

My cute girls. :-)

Some pretty amazing smelling jasmine...

The bride and her maid of honor...
Me and Auntie Caca
Photoshoot of moms and daughters. :-)
Cousins...And more cousins... :-)(thanks for the above picture, Aunt G!)
Auntie G, Auntie Ten, and our 6th sister. :-)
There's nothing better than roughhousing with Aunts. :-)
Then, Sunday we had a family shower arranged by The Adventurer's Sis-in-law. It was so fun! She pooled all the families money for gifts, and bought gift cards for stores, and we went shopping together, in an arranged-so-the-families-get-to-know-each-other-better sort of way. It was a really good time, and we'll definitely have to steal the idea when this one gets married. :-)
We met for lunch at TGI Fridays.
and visited several stores... Kiki liked trying out all the beds.
The bride was required to wear this hat the whole time, or else she had to pay...
B liked the exercise equipment in Sears.
I would like it duly noted that I was never allowed to play in the guitar case as a child.
And, finally we headed home, where our monkeys were VERY happy to see Daddy.

  6. Yeah, actually, with the exception of the jammies I made every outfit in these pics... they're all patterns from Sewsensible (see my bloglist) I can't get enough of them. They're adorable, and seriously only take an hour or two per item. :-) So easy!

  10. Looks like your usual wonderful family fun. I REALLY loved the cherries and hydrangeas together. Just gorgeous color combos. And the matching dresses on the two Miss Beauties was perfect! :)

Hey, I think your dad and I have the exact same guitar and case. I wonder if I'll let my grandkids play in it? Is that what HAPPENS to you?!

  11. Here's the deal... Grandkids and Grandparents get along so well because they have a common enemy. :-)

  13. You take great pictures, girl! The garden party was lovely in every way. Oh yes, what's the story behind the hat Auntie Ten had to wear?

  14. There was all manner of rules with this game, it was quite impressive, and really fun. The wearing of the hat at all times was just one of the rules for the bride. :-)
