Games:
#1. Ding Dong Knock Knock CUSTOMER!!!!!!: This game involves child#1 running out the door. Waiting a few minutes, and then coming up to the door, ringing the doorbell. Child#2 answers the door elaborately... "WWWwweeeeellllll, HELLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!! What can I do for you today, my customer!?" The 1st child then requests random items, like basil, or toothpaste, or a shovel, or a cat, or garlic, etc., and they thank each other elaborately, then the process starts over again.
#2. Going Headbutting: I can't figure out whether this game is incredibly stupid, or incredibly smart. But, either way it is pretty funny and weird. They litterally run around the house, head down and charge into things. The couch, the door, the wall, beds, etc., then compare notes on which surfaces hurt more. I go back and forth between complete dismay over this game, and thinking it's funny. Amazingly enough they haven't really hurt themselves when playing this game, and it makes me cringe when they hit sometimes.
#3. Knockover and Jump: This game involves them jumping between their beds, at the same time, back and forth. They usually get hurt at some point, so I try not to allow it, but occasionally it sneaks by me. In most cases they end up mad at each other, and one has the other one in a textbook triangle choke hold on the floor. But, then, when I come in to pull them apart, I get a very offended, "But Mom! We were playing knockover and jump!" as if that makes it ok.
#4. I spinching: Here is a weird one. I've caught them playing it twice so far. Child #1 says, "I spy YOU!" Child #2 must then "Baa like a goat" until Child #1 pinches them lightly. Then they trade places, running around the house, so as not to get "spied". So odd. But very clever, with the combination of I spy, and pinching.
Anyway, perhaps I've given you some idea's for what you can do this weekend. Have a great one!
LOL!! Your kids are very inventive!! I was just looking for some new games to play this winter - these will work perfectly. ;) Just teasing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post btw - so funny!
So funny, I love jumping across the beds thing, we all did that as a child and I remember quite a few sore knees and ankles.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the purple people eater or hot lava? Those are games that manybe you can pass onto them! It is so much fun to watch them develop. Grammy
ReplyDeleteI love those babies...they are so creative and funny. I love how they make life so interesting. They always remind me to enjoy life. Auntie G
ReplyDeleteyeah - what about the hot lava monster? i recall that being a huge hit at your house growing up. :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA! I had so forgotten about the hot lava monster. I'm not sure I remember the rules. Perhaps I'll save that for this winter, when hopefully we'll be snowed in.
