The life of a mother's pockets

I just finished painting my kids bedroom, and organizing their toys. After I was done, I realized my painting pants were feeling a little heavy. Here's why:

Yes, all of this was in my 4 pockets. Every last bit of it. It's a wonder they didn't fall off. I've noticed that my pockets collect very odd things throughout the day sometimes, but this tops it all! I need pocket intervention!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Wow. I could never do that. The only time I like pockets is when I am on a hike or at an amusement park or somewhere I don't want to carry around anything but my chapstick and ID. I have actually been known to sew pockets shut!

ioi will appreciate this post as we have had conversations about whats in her pockets before.

Hey, we want pictures of all your hard work!

  3. Oh my goodness - WOW!! That is a lot of stuff! But hey, at least you didn't have to go around picking all those things up off the floor. :)

  4. Chatty--pics are coming. I have one more little thing I need to finish up. Then I have to remind myself that it's ok that I didn't get the girl's end table and table and chairs painted. :-) Once I'm done with that pep talk, I will post pics. It turned out pretty cute!

Mauritamay-Hee hee! I almost did sit down. Fortunately I went to hitch up my very heavy pants before I did so--they're a little large, and realized how heavy they were.

Jenn... this is true. It's much easier to find a tool if it's 1 of 245 tools in your pocket, and not on the floor. I don't even know why I had two paint can openers. That one escapes me. I think I saw Debris trying to open a paint can, and so I intervened and kept both of them.

  5. Hee hee! I can definitely identify! Never thought of taking a picture of the assortment of items I pick up around the house, but that's a great idea! I like the pockets in that apron you made...great for collecting stuff like this.
