When it snows, ain't it thrillin'?

Well, nothing too exciting is going on around here... other than the fact that it has been snowing ALL DAY LONG! That makes these monkeys happy...

Just leaving the house requires quite the bundling process.

I shovelled our snow accumulation after we took Frank Castle lunch today--I shoveled AT LEAST 2 inches up, and these pictures were taken about 1/2 hour after I finished. This is our driveway... As you can see, thanks to budget cuts, the town is pretty much not plowing any more than the bare minimum main streets once a day type thing, which makes driving SLOW SLOW going. I'm very thankful for Rovey.

We have "home drips!" (That is what Debris calls icicles)
Kiki paying her "guitarolin"...And, on any given day, playing with mom's shoes is sure entertainment. Well, yesterday Debris decided to juggle a pair of my heels, and this is what happened. People sure look at me funny when she says "Mom's shoe poked me in the eye" I'm very quick to say "My foot wasn't in it at the time!!" She looks like a bruiser tho, doesn't she? :-) I have taken to calling her "Scarface".And, since we moved here, I have discovered a few things. Long underwear. Socks. Hats. Scarves. Gloves. I've never worn these things EVER before. I still cannot handle turtlenecks. But, let me tell ya, when it is this cold outside, these things feel good, even inside a heated house. Normally wearing something around my neck makes me crazy, but I finally broke down and made scarves. Here is Debris dancing in hers. Kiki is ok with the scarf, but not thrilled. Debris LOVES it, and wraps it extravagantly, every chance she gets. For some reason she feels the need to dance while doing this, so it makes it very entertaining.
And this is the one I made for myself...

  2. I wish I was there to play in the snow with our babies. The girls look like they need a grammy hug, at least that is what grammy thinks!

  4. It snowed all day here too, I just loved it! It stopped about 20 minutes ago and we have about a foot of snow drifted in the back yard. I'm not sure how much fell all together because it was windy and didn't really pile up on top of the fence posts so I could measure it. :)

  8. Ok, the shoe hitting Brie (poor thing!) and then her telling people that your shoe "kicked her" made me laugh! The explanation makes perfect sense to her...but she doesn't realize that it makes you sound like an abuser:) haha Oh, the innocence of children!
